The Role As a Workers’ Adviser, you manage a large number of complex files while providing excellent service to clients in a responsive, skilled manner. You offer expert, independent advice on interpreting the Workers Compensation Act, its regulations, and policies. Your role involves conducting research, gathering evidence, and delivering clear, sound advice, along with timely submissions and representations at appeals. Qualifications: Education and Experience Requirements University degree in a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. One (1) or more years of experience in the following: Providing advice to clients regarding the interpretation and application of legislation, regulation, policies and procedures; Effectively managing a high volume, demanding, active caseload; and Effectively managing clients in crisis (i.e., angry,
distraught, suicidal). One (1) or more years of relevant work experience in one or a combination of: Investigating/case managing of public administration issues; Adjudicating in a court, tribunal or board setting; and/ or Representing clients before courts, tribunals or boards. Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work a two (2) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
