Position Title: Sexual Abuse Intervention Counsellor Location : Fort St. John

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in a related field, plus 2 years’ recent related experience. The “Graduate Certificate in Complex Trauma and Child Sexual Abuse Intervention” from the Justice Institute would be an asset.

Duties:

Provides specialized counselling services to children and adolescents who have experienced sexual abuse and their families. Also provides services to children 11 years of age and younger who engage in sexually inappropriate behaviours. Consultation and education will also be provided on an as needed basis.

Other Job Information:

You must have a BC Class 5 driver’s license. Ability to operate a PC and related sodtware.

Hours of work:

14 hours per week

Hourly Rate:

As per the collective agreement $44.54 – $54.52 according to relevant experience.

This is a unionized position with the BCGEU and wage increases to $47.46 – $57.84 with ratified union contract.
