Become a Field Safety Advisor with Valard Construction for the Waasigan Transmission Line project near Thunder Bay, ON. This role is focused on field safety culture and communication with staff. As a Field Safety Advisor, you'll support supervisors and workers while coordinating day-to-day safety activities. Your experience will enhance safety practices on-site, with duties that include coaching, safety investigations, and meetings. The job’s structure is 20 days on and 10 days off with provided camp accommodations. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a secure work environment per Site Safety Management Plan
- Coach field staff to meet safety expectations
- Assist in incident investigations to determine root causes
- Participate in project safety meetings and communicate findings
- Perform safety inspections and conduct drills Requirements:
- Post-Secondary education in a related field
- 5 years of construction site safety experience
- NCSO or CRST Certification
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
