Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Team Lead to join our Retail Dining team at Saint Mary's University!The Team Lead will float between Tim Horton's and Starbucks on the Saint Mary's University campus, overseeing the opening of each location and supporting team members across both locations.In this hands-on leadership role, you'll step in where needed most? overseeing workflow, providing guidance to team members, and supporting rush periods while fostering a positive, cooperative team environment.Job ResponsibilitiesAssures quality, courteous customer service is provided to all guestsOversees the operation and personnel workflow in absence of the Supervisor/ManagerTrain and develop personnel as requiredMay support inventory and orderingMay perform outlet opening or closingMay support with monthly location audits, (boards, First Aid Kits)May assist with weekly inventory as requiredMay complete reports for occupational/non-occupational illness or injuryEnsures cleanliness of operationEnsures adherence to franchise and company standardsEnsures proper use, storage and handling of chemicals on-siteAssists with any onsite promotions and advertisingMonitors cash handling proceduresBalances cash float and verifies deposit and safeHandles customer service complaints with assistance from Manager/SupervisorCovering and ensuring breaks and lunches are givenPerform other job duties as assignedQualifications1-2 years' experience working in hospitality industry requiredMinimum 1 years' experience in a leadership role, either as an individual contributor or people manager requiredExperience with POS systems and cash control proceduresSkilled in prioritization of tasks and time managementKnowledge of and commitment to upholding high standards of food safety and hygiene.Ability to work effectively and efficiently supervised and unsupervisedExcellent interpersonal and communication skills,



with a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service.Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.Ability to adapt to changing environments.This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).This is a union position with SEIU Local 2.
