Food World Plus is hiring an experienced Retail Grocery Store Cashier . Previous cashier experience in a grocery store or supermarket is mandatory. The ideal candidate is reliable, customer-focused, accurate, and comfortable working in a busy retail grocery environment.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers, scan items, process payments accurately at checkout.
- Maintain accurate cash handling, balance register at shift end.
- Meet daily/shift sales targets and contribute to team performance metrics.
- Provide friendly service, answer questions, and upsell relevant items when appropriate.
- Operate POS system, issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges per policy.
- Record and report any discrepancies, damaged goods, and safety hazards promptly.
- Pursue ongoing learning on products, promotions, and customer service best practices.
- Uphold store policies on discounts, loyalty programs, and promotions.
- Collaborate with team to ensure smooth store operations during peak hours.
- Assist customers with locating products and provide store navigation guidance.




- Maintain clean and organized checkout area; stock impulse items as directed.

Experience/Qualifications

- Excellent cash handling accuracy and ability to balance till at shift end.
- Proficient POS operation including scanning, receipts, refunds, and exchanges.
- Meet daily/shift sales targets and contribute to team metrics.
- Friendly customer service with upselling when appropriate.
- Observe store policies on discounts, loyalty programs, and promotions.
- Accurate record-keeping for discrepancies, damaged goods, and hazards.
- Product knowledge and ongoing learning about promotions and store offerings.
- Maintain clean, organized checkout area and stock impulse items as directed.
- Ability to assist customers with locating products and provide store navigation guidance.
- Strong teamwork while being accountable for individual performance.
