Help shape pathways to healing as a Gladue Pathway Support Navigator with Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak, available in Thompson, The Pas, or Winnipeg, Manitoba. This full time position thrives on supporting Indigenous peoples in the justice system.
As a Gladue Pathway Support Navigator, you will engage directly with Indigenous individuals, preparing impactful Gladue Reports and Healing & Wellness Plans. Working collaboratively with Elders and community organizations, you will foster an environment of healing and accountability while promoting cultural safety and restorative justice principles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough interviews and assessments with individuals • Foster collaboration with families and community leaders • Identify and coordinate community resources for support • Prepare Gladue Reports for judicial review • Oversee implementation of wellness plans to ensure effectiveness
Requirements: • Relevant post-secondary education in Indigenous studies or similar fields • Extensive knowledge of the justice system and restorative practices • Proven ability to create trauma-informed environments • Strong relationship-building and organizational skills • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
