We will be adding First Aid training to our selection of safety training classes there and have an opening for a full-time First Aid Instructor. The successful candidate will be a certified First Aid Instructor (Red Cross, St. John, etc.) with a love for training others, excellent public speaking skills, and experience with occupational health and safety to draw on.This position is full-time (40 hours/wk) M-F with potentially some weekends, and will report to the Manager, Instructor-Led Training. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting First Aid CPR classes at the North York Training Centre as well as some other Northeast GTA locations.Key Responsibilities:As a First Aid Instructor yourkey responsibilitiesare:Teaching students through discussions, providing audio-visual presentations and hands-on equipment trainingTravelling to different Worksite Training Centres as scheduled, as well as client locations occasionallyPreparing, administering and marking testsConducting qualitative mask-fit testing to workers at client locations as neededOrganizing, filing and submitting digital and hardcopy student records in a timely mannerParticipating in instructor training on an ongoing basisIn general:Representing Worksite Safety as an Industry LeaderSanitizing/disinfecting testing room & equipmentUpdating records,



generating certificates and organizing paperworkParticipating in team meetings and development workshopsFirst Aid Instructors are trained through Worksite to also conduct qualitative mask fit testing. The successful candidate will be responsible for:Evaluating participants based on the requirements and guidelines provided by WorksiteEducating participants on mask wearing, use, cleaning, etc.The right candidate has the following qualifications and experience:2+ years experience inan occupational health and safety role, adult education, or an emergency service-related fieldCertified as a First Aid Instructor with Red Cross, St. John or similar providerExperience delivering First Aid training in a classroom settingMask Fit Testing experience is an asset but not requiredSelf-starter who can work independently, while also contributing to a teamStrong communication skillsValid Ontario Driver Licence - travel is required for this positionAble to legally work in CanadaWhy A Career At Worksite Is For YouWe are looking for a outstanding person to join a great team and we offer a work environment that can see you develop your career with an established leader in the industry.
