How You'll Perform the Role

Able to run Extrusion lines in a protected and efficient manner, with minimum downtime, scrap generation, within quality-approved specifications, and under the implemented standard operating procedures.

Be able to understand and perform all the listed tasks in the OPS line operator / PET Slitter Operator Job Description

Able to do the die gap settings and calibrations (fast gap, restrictor bar, die bolts adjustments, Set the die gap/ Die width (Deckles), Set up the cast rolls gaps)

Good knowledge and skills on operating the extruder line on all thicknesses, types, formulations, and output rates

Able to read and understand the production scheduling requirements (Gauge/formulation/sizes/packing customer specifications... etc.)

Ensure the availability of resources, and engage himself and his team member in performing the required tasks

Comfortable with and knowledgeable of all procedures related with the extrusion line

Very good skills and knowledge on dealing with the process upset conditions, taking the right decisions on running the extrusion line according with the equipment’s conditions, crew manpower, and skills

Be able to operate the FACS / Blender systems to load formulations and recipes





Connect loaders to material sources

Very comfortable on operating computers and HMIs

Responsible for running the extrusion line in smooth conditions without endangering the equipment’s or creating hazardous situations for his team members

Advanced knowledge about product quality requests; proven ability to produce the material within specifications. Deep understanding of extrusion process.

Keep a continuous communication with slitter operators to manage and react on time to any web quality defects and rectify accordingly

Proven to lead by example; consistent display of initiative, good judgment, and good attitude in performing all duties

Dump material (regrind/purge) through the dumpers as required

Assist with trouble shooting if requiredClean the cast rolls

Check the trim knives conditions and assist in slitting tasks if required

Ensure that the upstream/Downstream equipment are properly functioning from a process basis

Perform screen changing tasks when required

Monitor and record parameters

Ensure that all the required PM tasks are performed correctly and timely

Perform any other tasks assigned by the shift supervisor

React on time and in full coordination with his team to any upset conditions, which could take place on the line. (Web breaks, contamination, equipment malfunctioning)

Perform all required quality related tests

What We Need From You

Minimum high school diploma





Very Comfortable on operating computers and HIMS

Advance knowledge about product quality requests, proven ability to produce the material within specifications

Deep understanding of extrusion process

Minimum 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing environment working on an Extrusion line

Lift and move product / parts / boxes when required

Mechanical aptitude is necessary

Work well under pressure

Good team player

Good communication in English (verbal and written)
