Overview We are seeking a Picture Framer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality craftsmanship. In this role, you will work with a variety of materials, including canvas, paper, and glass, to create stunning, custom-made picture frames. Responsibilities Measure and cut mat board, foam board, and other materials to size. Assemble custom frames using a variety of techniques and materials. Fit artwork and glass into frames, ensuring a tight and secure fit. Mount artwork onto mat board and foam board using proper techniques. Inspect finished frames to ensure they meet high-quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Cutting and fixing moulding, mounts and glass. Safely use hand and machine tools, computerised mount cutter, pneumatic under pinner, Casesse mitre saw (training will be given). Follow company procedures for handling and storing artwork and finished jobs.
Qualifications and Skills Experience using hand and power tools. Minimum of one year’s professional experience of cutting, assembling and finishing frames. Knowledge of framing techniques for artwork. Experience as a Picture Framer. Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail. Knowledge of different framing techniques and materials. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift and move heavy materials, including large pieces of artwork. Other Company Advantages (Medical /Dental).
