Key responsibilities include:

• Development of enterprise and branch-level KPIs and executive management reporting.
• Establishment of structured management and operating reviews.
• Translation of corporate strategy into operating plans, budgets, owners, milestones and measurable outcomes.
• Business-side leadership of technology and operating-system modernization.
• Fleet, route, distribution and operational-capacity planning.
• Development of documented management systems and operating practices that improve consistency and scalability.
• Development of North Island growth capacity from Courtenay and Campbell River.
• Expansion and operational development of bulk-water services.
• Development and improvement of cistern-cleaning services.
• Support for commercial water services and key commercial-account growth.
• Evaluation and implementation of new approved business projects and service opportunities.
• Integration of North Island growth with Duncan and the wider company operating structure.
• Identification and mitigation of significant operational and business-continuity risks.
• Representation of Columbia Ice with selected suppliers, technology partners, professional advisers and commercial
partners under authority delegated by the CEO.
The Candidate
We are seeking a senior operational leader with substantial experience leading through managers in a multi-function or
multi-location operating workplace.
Candidates should bring:
• University degree or college diploma in business administration, commerce, operations, logistics or another discipline
related to the company's operations.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive management experience in production, distribution, logistics, transportation, utilities, field
services or a comparable operational environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading through managers, supervisors or other operational leaders.
• Experience coordinating operations across multiple departments, business units or locations.
• Experience with budgeting, resource allocation and operational controls.
• Experience developing and using KPIs and management reporting.
• Experience in workforce planning, management development and succession planning.
• Experience with organizational development and process improvement.
• Experience leading operational technology or business-system implementation.
• Strong commercial judgment and experience supporting business or service growth.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into accountable operating plans and measurable results.
• Ability to travel between Columbia Ice locations on Vancouver Island as required.
Experience in water services, beverage production/distribution, route-based delivery, logistics, utilities or comparable
field-service operations is an asset.
Employment
Permanent, full-time. 40 hours per week. $115,000-$120,000 annually. Primary location: Courtenay, BC. Regular travel to
