Job Details Monteith & Sutherland (Sarnia-Lambton) Inc. land survey technologist Location – 801 Upper Canada Drive Sarnia, ON N7W 1A3 Work location – On site Salary – $ 38.00 HOUR hourly / 40 hours per week Terms of employment – Permanent employment Full time Starts – as soon as possible Perks – Health benefits Education College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years Experience 5 years or more Responsibilities Analyze latitude, longitude and angles and compute trigonometric and other calculations to plot features, contours and areas to a specific scale Assist survey engineers or professional surveyors to develop methods and procedures for conducting field surveys Conduct field surveys and operate survey instruments and computer equipment to measure distance, angles, elevations and contours Determine precise geographic locations using global positioning systems (GPS) equipment Prepare detailed drawings,



charts and plans and survey notes and reports Record measurements and other information obtained during field survey activities Supervise and co-ordinate field survey activities Supervision 1 to 2 people Computer and technology knowledge Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment AutoCAD Survey specialization Topographic survey Land survey Engineering Geodetic Security and safety Criminal record check Driver's validity licence check Transportation/travel information Valid driver's licence Health benefits Dental plan Health care plan Who can apply for this job?
