DS TEC Consulting Services provides manpower and staffing solutions across industries including food, automotive, retail, and manufacturing. We're currently hiring on behalf of a client operating a recycling facility in Burlington for General Labourers to join their sorting and picking team.
Job Description
We're looking for reliable, hardworking General Labourers to sort and pick materials on a recycling line. This is physical, hands-on work suited to individuals who can stay focused and keep pace in a fast-moving production environment. No prior experience is required — training is provided on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Sort recyclable materials (plastics, paper, cardboard, metals, glass, etc.) from the conveyor line
Remove contaminants and non-recyclable items to maintain material quality
Keep up with line speed while maintaining accuracy
Follow all health and safety procedures and PPE requirements
Keep the work area clean and organized
Report equipment issues or line jams to the supervisor promptly
Perform other general labour duties as assigned
Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Comfortable working around moving equipment/conveyor belts
Ability to lift up to 25–30 lbs as needed
Punctual and reliable with a robust work ethic
Steel-toe boots required (or willingness to purchase)
Previous warehouse, factory, or recycling experience an asset but not required
