ABOUT THE POSITION

Nahanni Construction Ltd. is accepting resumes for Labourers to work at various project sites. The successful candidates will work on a rotational schedule in a remote work camp environment.

SCOPE
Working around Heavy equipment. Spotting equipment where required
Working with small tools such as bush hammers, grinders, hand tools
Cleaning up jobsite lumber, rebar nails debris, housekeeping
Stripping formwork from poured concrete structures
Assist in placing concrete and gravel backfill (running hand operated compaction equipment)
Foundation preparation and rock cleaning, utilizing air compressor, hoses, water pumps and air wands
Fueling frost fighters around site, moving frost fighters throughout site
Assist with placement of insulated tarps
Shoveling in winter conditions sanding walkways
Dewatering using submersible pumps moving hoses and pumps around throughout the site
Participating in daily toolbox talks
Reviewing and participating in daily Field Level Hazard Assessments
Participating in weekly safety meetings




Advising supervision of unsafe conditions or acts that may be a hazard or danger to oneself and other workers
Read, interpret and act on instructions from supervision
Ensuring tools and equipment are returned to job boxes and tool cribs
Reporting all incidents/accidents including “near misses”

REQUIREMENTS
3 years’ experience working as a Labourer preferred; willing to train highly motivated individuals with a positive attitude.
Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Ability to learn quickly and keep up with tight schedule
Versatile and adaptable to change
Valuable organization and communication skills
Able to complete physically demanding work with significant periods of standing and kneeling

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Nahanni provides competitive pay and benefits. Compensation is dependent on experience.
Nahanni pays for, and books travel to and from the project site. In addition, employees are entitled to a rotational travel allowance.
