Responsibilities
Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, to deliver freight across designated routes
Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or heavy machinery when necessary
Verify shipment contents against delivery manifests, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Maintain detailed records of deliveries, including mileage logs, delivery times, and any incidents or delays
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules
Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety standards are met and perform basic automotive repairs if needed
Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure secure transportation at all times
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or other industrial machinery is highly preferred
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and logistics operations
Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshooting
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping
Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks regularly
Prior experience in commercial driving or delivery roles is advantageous
