Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential personal care and support to residents in long-term care and related healthcare settings. Your responsibilities will focus on assisting with daily living activities, promoting comfort and dignity, and supporting residents’ overall well-being. The ideal candidate will demonstrate empathy, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering respectful, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
Assist residents with personal care needs including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
Provide assistance with meals, feeding, and hydration.
Offer companionship and emotional support to residents.
Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff.
Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean workplace.
Support residents with dementia, chronic conditions, and palliative needs.
Document care activities accurately as required.




Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.
Adhere to infection control, safety, and privacy standards.
Participate in ongoing training and career development.

Experience & Qualifications
Valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate recognized in Ontario.
Experience in long-term care, retirement homes, or home care settings preferred.
Knowledge of dementia care, palliative care, and senior health needs.
Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to resident-centered care.
