Jardins Belle Rive Retirement Center is a 86-bed Retirement center, located in Rockland, Ontario. The skilled Retirement facility is adjacent to the Ottawa River. We have an excellent chance for a Maintenance man to join our team.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Maintenance position is responsible to demonstrate and role model the mission, vision and values of the organization. This position works collaboratively with the Maintenance supervisor to provide general maintenance services.
Must have general knowledge and experience of drywall/painting, plumbing, carpentry, power tools, snow removal (throughout the winter season) and property cleanliness
Maintaining all equipment, grounds and performs corrective and preventive maintenance.
Willing to work and learn under supervision
Able to apply building and safety codes to facility situations and maintenance procedures




Conducts scheduled maintenance throughout physical plant and for all equipment.
Maintains and tests the emergency power system to ensure availability of power.

Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Valid Driver’s License is preferred
Ability to read, speak, write and understand English and French. Follow directions and complete tasks.
Maintains a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance.
Vulnerable Sector Check is MANDATORY

Additional Requirements:
Must be able to push/pull move and/or lift/carry a minimum of 50 pounds feet and be able to, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of time.
May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations

Experience:
Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
