Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Technician – Journeyman or Apprentice

SKS Calgary Truck Repair Ltd is currently accepting resumes for the position of Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Technician (will consider apprentices). This is a full time local position, and the hourly wage will be commensurate with experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
Diagnose equipment problems and determine repairs as needed
Perform heavy lifting as required during maintenance and repair procedures
Perform preventative maintenance
Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
Test repaired equipment for proper performance
Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes
Read diagrams and schematics for work procedures
Maintain a clean work workplace, as well as personal and company tools

Job Requirements
Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician or registered apprentice; non-ticketed applicants are welcome




Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract (Required)
Physical requirements of this position include the ability to push, pull, drag, and lift items up to 50 pounds, and occasionally work at shoulder level with equipment weighing up to 25 pounds

Expected hours:
40+ per week

Schedule:
Monday to Saturday

Experience:
Mechanical: 1 year (Required)

Licence/Certification:
Red Seal Off-Road Journeyman Mechanic Certificate (Preferred)
Journeyman (Preferred)
Trade Certificate (Preferred)
