1931 Gallery Bistro is a modern casual restaurant located inside the Vancouver Art Gallery, featuring a vibrant patio, seasonal menus, wine, cocktails, and a rapid-paced summer atmosphere. We are looking for energetic and hospitality-driven team members to join us for the busy season.

Position Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and proactive Host / Hostess to join our front-of-house team. This role includes hosting duties as well as food running support during busy service periods. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, thrives in a quick-paced environment, and brings positive energy to the team.

Responsibilities
Welcome and seat guests in a warm and professional manner
Manage reservations and guest flow throughout service
Assist with waitlists and guest inquiries
Run food and support servers during busy periods
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining areas




Communicate effectively with kitchen and service teams
Help create a positive guest experience from arrival to departure

Qualifications
Previous restaurant or customer service experience is an asset
Strong communication and multitasking skills
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Ability to stay calm and organized during busy periods
Weekend and holiday availability preferred
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Schedule
Seasonal position (Spring/Summer)
Part-time hours
Day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required
