Job Summary

As a Rehabilitation Assistant , you will be responsible for shared administrative support functions in a team environment as well as responsible for assisting the Physiotherapists with their caseload.

Duties
Assist licensed therapists with patient setup, and mobility exercises to ensure safe and effective therapy sessions
Prepare treatment rooms by organizing equipment, supplies, and educational materials needed for therapy sessions
Support infection control protocols by cleaning and disinfecting equipment and treatment areas regularly
Help coordinate scheduling and communicate with patients regarding appointments and treatment plans
Act as a liaison between the client and the Physiotherapist
Assist with the Physiotherapist’s caseloads
Process and perform clerical audits for discharged patient charts
Maintain a presentable/organized clinic and ensure that the gym area is free of obvious safety hazards
Administrative tasks, including answering phones, processing supply orders and photocopying documents

Skills
A Kinesiology degree or PTA/OTA diploma




Prior experience in rehabilitation environments is highly desirable
Robust understanding of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and document patient information
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect empathetically with patients
Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining flexibility in a dynamic clinical workplace
Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize patient safety at all times
Active engagement in continuous learning about rehabilitation practices and patient care techniques

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
