Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Japanese Sushi Cook. This role involves preparing and serving food in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent cooking skills, and a strong understanding of food handling procedures. Must have a minimum 2 years of experience

Must be available weekdays, weekends and holidays - adaptable shifts

Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
Serve food to customers efficiently and courteously
Handle food with proper safety and sanitation practices in accordance with health regulations
Assist in meal preparation during busy hours, including chopping, assembling, and plating dishes
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas throughout shifts
Ensure all food products are stored correctly and inventory is managed properly




Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure quality control
Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service and support daily operations

Skills
Proven experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service setting
Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards in the food industry
Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a rapid-paced setting
Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food service
Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
