We’re currently seeking a Site Foreman to oversee commercial construction projects for one of our valued clients. This role involves ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity. The Foreman will supervise trades, equipment, and labor on-site.
About the Role:
As a Site Foreman, you will be responsible for:
Supervising and mentoring site staff including carpenters, apprentices, and laborers
Monitoring productivity and quality of work
Managing timesheets, site attendance, and day-to-day issues
Ensuring workers have proper certifications and safety training
Conducting daily hazard assessments and maintaining a clean, organized work workplace
Qualifications:
Journeyman Carpenter or equivalent experience; Red Seal an asset
Minimum 5 years of construction experience
Strong understanding of general carpentry, drywall, finishing, and formwork
Ability to read blueprints and maintain as-builts
Comfortable working in all weather conditions and on active job sites
Must have own transportation and basic hand tools
Skills & Requirements:
Knowledge of OH&S; standards and safe work practices
Robust leadership and communication skills
Experience in scheduling, planning, and overseeing crews
Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
Able to adapt to changing site demands
Working Conditions:
Projects may be in and out of town
Work is year-round and includes both interior and exterior settings
Physically demanding tasks with frequent bending, lifting, and climbing
PPE required; exposure to typical construction site risks
