Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and caring Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary team. We are a one doctor small animal practice offering clients services that they need. the position is 3 days a week but negotiable.
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and treatments
Prepare animals for procedures and monitor anesthesia as needed
Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and tissue specimens
Perform laboratory tests and analyze results to aid in diagnosis
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
Maintain accurate medical records and update patient files
Provide client education on animal care, nutrition, and post-treatment instructions
Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment and treatment areas
Support inventory management by ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels
Experience
Ability to operate in house laboratory equipment.
Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary or animal care setting is required but will look at new graduates.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a quick-paced setting
