About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Budget, Planning, and Finance to join its dynamic and diverse community. The successful candidate will be a strategic and collaborative leader with over 10 years' experience in overseeing complex budgets and providing financial advice in a large, multifaceted organization, preferably within the postsecondary sector. This role is pivotal in refining and advancing the Faculty's budget model, strengthening financial planning and forecasting, and supporting major institutional modernization initiatives.

The Executive Director will also be responsible for advancing a comprehensive approach to data analytics and decision-making, serving as the senior financial leader, and fostering solid partnerships across the institution.

Applicants for the Executive Director position should possess strong financial planning, analytical, and data-informed decision-making capabilities, as well as a deep understanding of institutional funding, risk management, contracts, and organizational operations. The role requires an exceptional communicator and relationship builder, adept at influencing key partners, leading change, and building consensus. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with operational excellence, and demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. They will be expected to navigate complex resource, policy, and governance considerations, and to advance the Faculty's academic and strategic priorities through sound financial stewardship and evidence-based planning. Experience in fiscally constrained environments and a proven track record of supporting the heterogeneity of academic departments to form a cohesive faculty are essential.
