Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Psychologist - Masters $44.093 to $53.916

Job Description: The incumbent will provide Psychology services to a primarily adult population. These services will be delivered through a combination of direct services, consultation, community resource development and education. The incumbent will work as part of an interdisciplinary team. The Psychologist, Masters reports directly to the Manager of Adult Community Services or his / her designate.

Education

A Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology

Licenses

Registered Master Psychologist with Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE)
Valid Class 5 driver's license

Knowledge & Abilities

Knowledge in best practice models, current research and relapse prevention
Ability to provide psychological consultations to the team, community, & schools
Knowledge of psychological assessment and treatment methods and tools
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in psychological assessments of adult clients
Ability to competently use computers and software applications




Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to conduct client assessments and engage in effective treatment planning
Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
Ability to develop educational resources and presentations
Ability to collect, record, report comprehensive client information accurately
Demonstrates ability to manage time and competing deadlines
Ability to perceive and analyze problems and effect innovative solutions
A demonstrated ability to meet and work with clients
Sound judgment, tact, initiative and high standards of integrity/responsibility
Ability to work under stress
Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize urgent client needs
Ability to utilize computerized assessment & interpretation software packages
Ability to facilitate educational and skill development groups
Ability to provide individual, group and crisis management counselling skills
Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
