Your Prospect at SECURE As our General Labourer you will be responsible for assisting customers with their metals recycling and support the flow of materials at the site.
This role is based out of Saskatoon, SK.
The Team This position must also adhere to our safety program and work as a contributing member of the site team.
Work Setting This is a full-time permanent position working an 8:00 am to 5:00 pm shift.
A Day in The Life Ensure all SECURE safety policies and procedures are followed
Be cognizant of and adhere to any site-specific safety requirements
Partake in all safety related meetings including: daily tail gates, last minute risk assessment,
etc.
Work well with other workers
Must be familiar with operating and servicing small equipment such as forklifts, skid steer, shears, stationary baler
Responsible for sorting non-ferrous material, cutting material to size and packaging
Willing to be trained on other positions
Must have an understanding of all power and small tools
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
Clean, lubricate and fuel all equipment and general site housekeeping
Notify supervisor and or repair shop of any required work to be done
Other related duties as required
Skills, Experience & Qualifications General labour and/or farm experience is considered an asset
Experience working with metals would be an asset but we are willing to train
Basic comprehension and ability to follow SECURE’s Workplace Health and Safety requirements relevant to the assigned work site, including but not limited to SECURE’s safety and hazard assessment process”
Ability to complete safety documentation in an accurate and timely manner
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, shoveling, moving containers and other heavy materials
Strong work ethic and willingness to persevere through difficult weather conditions
Ability to manage weather and/or seasonal interruptions in work schedule
Certification in WHIMS, First Aid would be considered an asset
Fit-for-Work each day
