Join the Setting and Protected Areas Ministry as a Lead Compliance Assurance Specialist in Peace River. Leverage your compliance expertise to mentor teams and drive environmental stewardship initiatives.

In this permanent full time role, you will report to the Compliance Manager, overseeing a regional compliance team. Your responsibilities include developing operational plans, conducting inspections, and enforcing legislation under the Water Act and Environmental Protection Act. You will also facilitate skill development for emerging management candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
• Mentor and coach inspectors and investigators
• Lead compliance program enhancement initiatives
• Conduct investigations and coordinate compliance activities




• Develop operational plans aligned with strategic goals
• Educate staff on environmental legislation

Requirements:
• Two-year diploma in environmental management or related field
• Minimum 7 years in compliance or enforcement role
• Solid communication and conflict resolution skills
• Analytical skills for complex environmental assessments
• Ability to work in diverse and changing environments

Utilize your leadership and compliance knowledge to support Alberta's environmental objectives.
