VTRAC is seeking a knowledgeable Legal Compliance Advisor to join on a contract basis. Your mission: to ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and internal policies within Ontario and Canada.
As a mid-senior level advisor, your role will involve monitoring compliance risks and regulatory developments. You will develop and implement compliance frameworks as well as conduct thorough internal audits. Your excellent analytical skills and communication abilities will aid in delivering transparent guidance and training on compliance matters to staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor relevant legislation and industry standards
• Develop and implement internal compliance procedures
• Conduct audits to identify compliance risks
• Provide legal advice on regulatory matters
• Report to regulatory bodies and manage licensing
Requirements:
• LL.B. or J.D. from a recognized Canadian law school
• 3–5 years experience in legal compliance
• Understanding of privacy and financial regulations
• Robust analytical and communication skills
• Experience in regulated industries preferred
