As a Microbiology Technician at Certified Group, you will play a critical role in food product testing during overnight hours from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Your tasks will involve preparing and analyzing samples, ensuring quality control, and maintaining laboratory supplies. Collaborate with the Food Safety Net Services Team to ensure high testing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare samples for testing of pathogens and chemistries • Maintain media and reagents for daily laboratory operations • Conduct routine preventive maintenance and cleaning • Perform quality control through incubator temperature checks • Ensure accurate records are kept throughout lab procedures
Requirements: • High School diploma or GED required • Associate degree in Life Science is preferred • Two years of experience in a laboratory setting preferred • Knowledge of food safety laboratory concepts • Capability to travel when necessary
