The Laboratory Assistant II position in the Experimental Oncology portfolio provides essential support in a research environment. Under the guidance of the Laboratory Manager, you will prepare solutions, handle hazardous waste, and maintain records adhering to regulatory requirements. Additionally, your role includes assisting current staff and performing quality control checks on laboratory processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare lab solutions and maintain media efficiently
• Wash and sterilize laboratory glassware and supplies
• Keep laboratory spaces and equipment organized
• Handle hazardous waste disposal accurately
• Train newcomers on laboratory procedures
Requirements:
• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program
• Ability to perform repetitive, physically demanding tasks
• Relevant research laboratory experience necessary
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related field
• Familiarity with microscopy and flow cytometry is beneficial
