Lead impactful fundraising strategies at the University of British Columbia as the Senior Director of Gift and Estate Planning. Drive a multi-million dollar fundraising program focused on major gifts.
As the Senior Associate Director, you will work closely with UBC faculty and senior management to increase private sector support. You’ll manage a personal portfolio of high-value prospects, engaging in over 50 visits annually and securing 20-25 major gift solicitations. This role balances strategic planning with hands-on relationship building, ensuring compliance with university policies throughout.
Key Responsibilities:
• Generate strategic prospect contacts for major gifts • Develop comprehensive fundraising programs • Coordinate projects and manage donor recognition efforts • Engage in face-to-face donor meetings • Mentor junior fundraising staff
Requirements: • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline • Eight years of fundraising experience required • Proven track record in major gift fundraising • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
