About the Position
ALS is excited to hire for a Logistics Coordinator for our St. John's operation. This role will consist of Coordinating the flow of work in St. John's including delivering bottle orders to clients in the region and processing received samples into the ALS network. The successful candidate must be capable of working in a fast‑paced environment and meeting strict deadlines while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and quality. Specific Responsibilities
Deliver bottle orders and sample preservatives from courier locations to client offices; Pick up, package and ship samples using appropriate couriers and procedures and following sample receipt protocols; Organise, prioritise, and track orders; Review and double check bottle orders prepared by others for errors; Process return shipments for laboratory supplies; Take weekly stock counts; Trace lost/late shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; Provide excellent customer service to clients and couriers; Label verification; Provide general assistance to support regional operations as required; Follow internal Standard Operating Procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality procedures are adhered to; Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures; Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager or Client Service Manager. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Good English communication skills (auditory, verbal, writing, and reading) as required; Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
on a basic level; Basic computer skills; Ability to perform repetitive tasks correctly in a rapid‑paced environment; Good organisational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines such as Turnaround Times (TAT) and holding requirements; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; A strong work ethic and willingness to own varied tasks as required; Strong customer service background; A commitment to excellence and a client‑focused attitude. Required Qualifications
Experience with customer service setting; Valid, clear driver's licence and use of own vehicle for travelling an asset; Ability to travel. Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs./23 kg on a regular basis and carry for short distances; Extensive walking or movement, bending, and kneeling for a full shift; Wear issued personal protective equipment (PPE) when required; Ability to sit at a desk and do general office work, which includes periodic sedentary responsibilities if required.
