Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to focus on Geospatial applications, and update corporate geospatial technology strategy using ESRI products and geospatial platforms

Candidates must be located in Calgary. Hybrid work model of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday's in-office. 37.5 hour work week.

Must Haves

- 10+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or Geospatial Architect with a focus on ESRI products
- 10+ years overseeing rollout of geospatial platforms using centralized and hub-and-spoke enterprise implementation models
- 5+ years leading and coaching at an executive level

Nice to Have

- Previous work experience in the public sector or large organizations
- Previous experience developing and implementing corporate geospatial technology strategies and plans
- Change management support experience implementing a current geospatial architectural plan
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with personnel at all levels

Responsibilities

- Conduct an environmental scan and analysis of current geospatial technology and strategies
- Assess geospatial industry trends, municipalities, vendors, and emerging geospatial technologies
- Identify influencing factors impacting future geospatial technology and architecture planningMust Haves

Responsibilities

- Conduct an environmental scan and analysis of current geospatial technology and strategies
- Assess geospatial industry trends, municipalities, vendors, and emerging geospatial technologies
- Identify influencing factors impacting future geospatial technology and architecture planning
- Complete and publish the 2027–2030 Corporate Geospatial Technology Strategy
- Complete and publish the Corporate GIS Technology Plan, Corporate Aerial Imagery and 3D Technology Plan, and Corporate FME Technology Plan
- Align geospatial technology plans with overarching IT architecture and technology plans
- Provide strategic guidance, recommendations, and insight on technology direction, integration touchpoints, and program service delivery
