This full time role features a day-for-day rotational schedule.Reporting directly to the Chief Engineer, your primary tasks include assisting in the operation and maintenance of various vessel systems. You'll ensure compliance with safety regulations and guide junior engineers, promoting a team-oriented work workplace. Your work will uphold the company's dedication to safety and operational readiness.Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor propulsion and auxiliary systems
Conduct engineering watches in compliance
Troubleshoot and address machinery performance issues
Document operational and maintenance logs
Provide guidance to junior engineering staffRequirements:
Hold a Transport Canada Second Class Motor Certificate
Valid Marine Medical and Emergency Duties certifications
Ability to obtain Passenger Safety Management certification
Valid WHMIS certification essential
