Drive occupational health safety excellence at Peterborough Regional Health Centre as a Health Safety Officer. This full-time role focuses on enhancing safety protocols through strategic compliance and training initiatives.In this key role, reporting to the Manager of Occupational Health, Safety & Wellness, you will play an advisory position on legislative safety requirements. Engage in the development of training programs and conduct audits to ensure a protected work setting. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to elevate safety practices across the organization.Key Responsibilities:
Guide compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations
Execute planned safety inspections and audits
Oversee training for staff on health and safety matters




Liaise with the Ministry of Labour for compliance
Develop policies and procedures related to health excellenceRequirements:
Occupational Health and Safety degree or similar qualification
At least 3 years of experience in healthcare or industrial settings
Canadian Registered Safety Qualified certification considered an advantage
Familiarity with health and safety legislation
