Conduct hydrogeological site investigation and characterization, including soil and rock core logging, groundwater sampling, and hydraulic testing
Support conceptual hydrogeological model development and reporting
Perform QA/QC of field data and data compilation
Support hydrogeological and mine water studies across exploration, permitting, operations, and closure
Support or lead numerical groundwater flow model development based on field data interpretations and conceptual hydrogeological models
Assist with scripting and automating modelling workflows using tools such as Python
Collaborate with engineers and geoscientists on multidisciplinary teams across hydrogeology, geology, geochemistry, mine waste, mine water, and rock mechanics
Contribute to and occasionally lead report preparation, including figures, drawings, and technical writing
Occasionally participate in proposal preparation, budgeting, and scheduling
Assist with client communication and meeting preparation
Participate in field work with senior team members and occasionally lead routine field investigations
Participate in health and safety planning
Requirements Graduate degree in geoscience, geological engineering, or a related discipline
Registered as an EIT/GIT or working toward/eligible for P.Eng. or P.Geo. registration
4–8 years of relevant qualified experience in hydrogeology, with growing exposure to numerical modelling
Familiarity with scripting for modelling and data management
Exposure to groundwater and/or geotechnical modelling software, such as MODFLOW, HydroGeoSphere, FEFLOW, SEEP/W, and Leapfrog




Exposure to mining hydrogeology, such as mine water management and mine wastes, is an asset
Strong communication and technical writing skills
Collaborative, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a team-oriented environment
Willingness to travel and work in the field, including remote locations
Fluency in French (spoken and written) is considered an asset
May be required to take drug and alcohol testing prior to or during field work
Valid driver's license and ability to drive a field pickup truck
Driver’s abstract required upon hiring
May be required to receive vaccinations such as yellow fever, COVID-19, and malaria
Current passport required
