Muslim Media Hub, a Mississauga-based Muslim storytelling and media production organisation, seeks a Film Lab Coordinator for a fixed-term contract through February 2027. This is a part-time, in-person role (10-15 hours/week) based at MMH facilities in the Greater Toronto Area.
Role Overview You will coordinate and support the day-to-day operations of a 12-week counter-narrative media lab program, serving as the primary point of contact for program logistics, participant support, and administrative management.
Key Responsibilities Manage participant enrollment, registration, and community outreach for the media lab program
Track attendance and monitor individual participant progress throughout the 12-week duration
Organise weekly session schedules and secure appropriate facilities for lab activities
Arrange and manage media equipment and materials needed for participant projects
Monitor coursework submissions and project deadlines; provide tracking and updates
Send timely reminders and communications to participants regarding sessions and deadlines




Facilitate or co-facilitate critique sessions and peer feedback activities
Ensure participants have appropriate technical support and access to equipment needed for their work
Organise and lead the culminating showcase or presentation event
Manage administrative tasks including consent forms, program documentation, and participant files
Requirements & Qualifications Demonstrated experience managing workshops, seminars, labs, or community-based programs
Solid organisational and interpersonal skills
Meticulous attention to detail and reliable follow-through
Ability to problem-solve adaptively under pressure
Background in media, creative arts, education, or nonprofit work is preferred (not required)

$30/hour, approximately 10-15 hours per week
