Job Posting: Scheduling and Inventory Operations Specialist Operations | EastGen | Guelph, Ontario | Hybrid
Reports to: Director of Operations
Schedule: Monday to Friday, eight hours per day, with core hours from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Work arrangement: Hybrid, with at least three office days per week following initial on-site training at the Guelph warehouse
Status: Full-time, permanent
Compensation: Starting at $52,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year. We compensate our team members based on the experience and knowledge they bring to the role and review salary on an annual basis.

EastGen is seeking an organized, service-focused Scheduling and Inventory Operations Specialist to support the smooth movement of semen and embryo inventory while coordinating schedules for our AI Technician team. This role combines scheduling, customer service, purchasing, inventory control, invoicing, and detailed recordkeeping. It is well suited to someone who enjoys solving operational issues, managing competing priorities, and working closely with customers, suppliers, technicians, payroll, and sales teams.
What You’ll Do Coordinate AI Technician schedules: Build monthly work and vacation schedules that support customer needs and staffing requirements; communicate schedules to technicians, Regional Sales Managers,
and Dispatch; maintain accurate records and reports; and liaise with Payroll to support accurate shift payments.
Manage semen and embryo inventory: Coordinate purchases and incoming inventory, reconcile shipments against purchase orders, resolve discrepancies, enter inventory into the appropriate systems or customer accounts, process transfers and discard requests, and manage private customer inventory issues.
Support customers and sales: Receive customer orders, answer questions about bull and goat semen, address service concerns, and identify opportunities for customers to qualify for applicable volume discounts.
Coordinate embryo transactions: Enter incoming embryos, support resale transactions, coordinate deliveries, and prepare packing slips and invoices for shipments.
Process invoices: Reconcile incoming orders, apply applicable discounts and promotions, prepare invoices for customer purchases and incoming private semen or embryos, and complete processing in the invoicing system.
What You Bring At least one year of office experience.
Experience with scheduling, customer service, recordkeeping, inventory, purchasing, or invoicing.
Practical knowledge of dairy or beef agriculture; agricultural or farm experience is an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning financial, inventory, scheduling, and invoicing systems.
Clear and professional communication skills, strong attention to detail, and sound judgment.
The ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, manage interruptions and deadlines, and follow issues through to resolution.
