Accurately inspect parts and/or purchased material dimensionally and visually, including non-destructive testing methods, to prescribed quality standards and procedures
Perform concurrent and final visual inspections using skill, judgment and interpretation
Follow inspection protocols in applicable quality procedures
Make setups or adjustments on standard gauges or equipment
Read and interpret production prints and written instructions
Record routine data and count parts as directed
Train current employees and other inspectors/operators as required
Maintain excellent housekeeping and 5S in all areas
Complete assigned inspection work using skill and judgment
Requirements
Grade 12 diploma
Demonstrated competency at Inspector level or mechanical aptitude and/or related quality experience
Knowledge of quality systems/policies
Proficient use of standard measuring gauge tools including mechanical, pneumatic, optical and electrical devices
Ability to follow inspection protocols prescribed in applicable quality procedures
Ability to read and interpret production prints and other written instructions
Ability to make setups or adjustments on various standard gauges or equipment
Meet the skill requirements identified in the applicable training matrix and required certificate(s)
Must be able to pass Canadian Controlled Goods Assessment and criminal background check
Must be compliant with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
