This temporary position supports the Public Works Outside Worker team with responsibilities in inspection, diagnosis, and preventive maintenance for various municipal vehicles. Your role will include welding, fabrication, and the management of maintenance records to ensure optimal fleet operations. This role provides practical experience while fulfilling a key support function within the team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and maintain municipal vehicles and heavy machinery
• Execute preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment




• Conduct welding and fabrication as needed
• Coordinate repairs with external service contractors
• Maintain comprehensive service records

Requirements:
• Grade 12 education minimum
• BC Certified Journeyman designation as a Heavy Duty Mechanic
• At least three years of mechanic experience required
• Class C Welding Ticket
• Valid Class 3 BC Driver's Licence
