As a Cook in our retirement residences, you will collaborate with the Culinary Manager to ensure high-quality food service for residents. Responsibilities include preparing meals, adhering to dietary needs, and employing secure food handling practices.

You will also complete necessary audits for food temperature safety, and be involved in preparing themed meals to enhance special occasions within the community.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve meals to residents and guests
Ensure compliance with food safety standards
Perform daily temperature checks on food storage
Prepare specialty diets per menu requirements
Participate in planning theme meals and special events

Requirements:
Must have a Food Handler's Certificate
Experience in food preparation in healthcare settings
Knowledgeable about dietary regulations and guidelines
Ability to carry and transfer hot items
Willingness to acquire a Vulnerable Sector Check
