Join Valard Construction as a Data Center Construction Safety Advisor located in Port Hawkesbury, NS. Provide crucial safety support while enhancing the safety culture among staff and contractors.

This position is field-based with a schedule of 14 days on and 7 days off, promoting operational efficiency. Reporting to the Regional Safety Lead, your role encompasses coaching, incident investigation, and the enforcement of Valard construction safety protocols. You’ll be instrumental in addressing hazards and ensuring compliance across construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure a secure work environment for staff and visitors
• Communicate safety expectations to field teams
• Participate in incident root cause analysis




• Conduct inspections and emergency preparedness drills
• Develop and review Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)

Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in a related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience
• National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) or CRST certification
• Valid driver’s license with necessary records
• Skilled in using Microsoft Office tools
