What your day-to-day will look like

Manufacture, sharpen, resharpen, repair, and modify cutting tools of all kinds using CNC machines

Consult drawings and sketches of cutting tools.

Prepare tools, dress grinding wheels manually or using a CNC machine, and perform setup.

Operate one or more machines simultaneously.

Inspect cutting tools using comparators and automated inspection machines.

Participate in the development of new processes.

Perform mathematical calculations, including using trigonometry.

Wash, package, identify, and move parts while ensuring compliance with standards and specifications

Maintain equipment and workstations in positive condition.

Perform routine maintenance on equipment (oil levels, filter conditions)

Work as part of a team and demonstrate a high level of autonomy.

What you need to succeed





Holder of a DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Machining Techniques with an ASP (Attestation of Vocational Specialization) in Machining on Computer Numerically Controlled Machine Tools

Ability to work well in a team

Initiative and leadership

Manual dexterity

Analytical skills

This position takes place in a French-speaking work environment, however it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations.

Assets

Experience in the field of machining

Experience in cutting tool sharpening (an asset)
