This role, reporting directly to the Transitional Housing Manager, offers the prospect to work in a supportive setting dedicated to helping newcomers. As an on-call Cook, you will prepare meals, supervise residents during kitchen activities, and maintain kitchen hygiene.

Your contribution will ensure that meals are nutritious and cater to diverse dietary needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve timely meals for residents
Instruct residents on kitchen equipment usage
Keep kitchen and dining areas clean and organized
Document food inventory and stock deliveries
Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations

Requirements:
High school diploma; cooking certificate preferred
One year of experience in institutional cooking
Protected Food Handling certification required
Knowledge of diverse dietary requirements essential
English fluency required; other languages beneficial
