Job Description : Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalist who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS membersin accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"
Human Resources Exemption : No
Experience Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an asset
Education Completion of an accredited PA degree program recognized by PACCC
Licenses Valid Class 5 driver's license
Physician Assistant - Certified (PA-C) through the NCCPA.
Membership and Licensure in positive standing with the CPSS as a PA; or
Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through PACCC; or




Eligible for registration with CPSS (for applicants outside of Saskatchewan).
(May be asked to provide proof of meeting maintenance of certification)

Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (PALS) an asset
La Ronge is located approximately 241 km north of Prince Albert
Travel within Saskatchewan
May provide services toacute and long term care sites as required
Current ATLS Certification (Advanced Trauma Life Support), is an asset
