Who can apply
Open to persons employed or residing in Ingonish, Nova Scotia or Cheticamp, Nova Scotia and within a 110 kilometre radius of Baddeck, Nova Scotia who have a legal status to work in Canada. Duties Cleaning and maintaining visitor/public buildings/facilities;
Cleaning and maintaining diversified accommodations;
Conduct general cleaning around buildings, grounds, public-use areas such as visitor centers, campgrounds, beach areas and walkways;
Lock and unlock buildings and gates;
Observe appearance and condition of premises and equipment; report needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring servicing;
Maintain / restock inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies;
Contribute to visitor experience by responding to general inquiries and direct visitors to sources of information and service areas.Facility Attendants typically work in a team during the peak season, however, those that work earlier or later in the season may have some more independent work.

Conditions of employment Reliability Status security clearance - Obtain and maintain Reliability Status security clearance.Maintenance of a valid class 5 Nova Scotia Driver’s License, or other provincial equivalency.Required to wear a Parks Canada uniform when required.Required to work irregular hours, overtime,



weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays, when required.Required to work and/or travel in varied terrain, weather conditions, and isolated locations and by various means of transportation.Parks Canada prohibits smoking and vaping in the workplace.
