The role
We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead high-value telecom modernization engagements from presales discovery through solution shaping and early delivery readiness, with a strong focus on Rogers-targeted opportunities.
This is not a generic cloud architecture role. You will be expected to speak the language of telecom and connect business outcomes to practical architecture decisions across OSS/BSS, digital channels, integration, and AI-enabled productivity.
You will work at the intersection of client advisory, presales solutioning, and execution shaping—owning discovery workshops, solution narratives, demos, and proposal architecture, then translating the proposed solution into implementation-ready artifacts (HLD, NFRs, WBS, and delivery guidance).
This role is ideal for someone who combines telecom domain depth, modern engineering credibility, and strong client-facing consulting skills.
You will
Lead telecom solutioning for strategic pursuits
Run discovery sessions and workshops with stakeholders across business, product, architecture, engineering, and operations
Define scope, value drivers, constraints, dependencies, and success metrics
Translate telecom pain points into clear solution pathways and modernization options
Build persuasive solution narratives, demos, and proposal inputs for strategic opportunities
Design enterprise telecom architectures that are implementable
Create architecture concepts and solution designs for telecom use cases such as:
eSIM activation journeys (entitlement, provisioning integration)
AI chatbot / agent-assist (RAG knowledge retrieval, escalation flows, human-in-the-loop)
Call center modernization (agent desktop integration, case workflows, knowledge access)
Product catalog and offer management (modeling, governance, time-to-market acceleration)
Order-to-fulfillment orchestration connecting channels, order, fulfillment, and billing
Define secure, resilient, observable architectures suitable for regulated, high-availability telecom environments
Communicate architecture tradeoffs effectively to both technical and executive stakeholders
Shape delivery for successful execution
Produce delivery-shaping artifacts that reduce ambiguity and execution risk:
architecture diagrams
High-Level Design (HLD)
key NFRs (security/IAM, audit logging, resiliency, observability)
WBS, estimates, and developer-ready task breakdowns
Support LLD direction as needed and align solution intent with delivery reality
Collaborate closely with client teams, BSAs, developers, and delivery leads
Bring strong event-driven and engineering depth
Define Kafka-based event-driven architecture, including topic design, schema/versioning, replay/idempotency, and operational monitoring
Guide integration-heavy, distributed solution design with practical engineering judgment
Provide credible technical direction across backend, integration, and digital experience layers
Drive reusable accelerators and better solutioning leverage
Contribute to reusable assets such as reference architectures, reference repos, CI/CD baselines, and integration scaffolding
Capture repeatable patterns that improve consistency, speed, and quality across pursuits and programs
Keep AI solutioning current and enterprise-ready
Shape AI-enabled telecom solutions using modern patterns (including RAG, agent-assist, and workflow automation)
Apply governance, evaluation, and security considerations to ensure proposals are credible and implementable
Help position AI as a measurable productivity and experience lever in telecom operations and service delivery
Who you are
Senior, client-facing Solution Architect experience in complex enterprise environments
Strong telecom domain depth, especially in OSS/BSS-led modernization
Proven experience leading presales solutioning (discovery, solution shaping, demos, estimation, proposal support)
Experience shaping modernization programs in large enterprise organizations
North American enterprise experience preferred; Tier-1 telecom exposure (including Rogers) is a strong advantage
Telecom Domain Expertise (Must-Have)
You understand how telecom organizations operate across:
product/offer lifecycle and catalog management
order orchestration and order-to-activation flows
provisioning/service activation integration
customer care and operational ticketing flows
billing touchpoints and downstream dependencies
reliability, governance, and change management at scale
Technical Expertise (Must-Have)
Strong Azure solution architecture expertise for secure, resilient, observable systems
Deep experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture
Solid engineering credibility with Java (must-have)
Working knowledge of Node.js and Angular for solution shaping across integration and digital layers
Strong grasp of enterprise integration, security/IAM, auditability, observability, and high availability patterns
AI & Modernization Capability
Practical experience with RAG-based knowledge retrieval, agent-assist patterns, and workflow automation
Ability to explain AI governance, evaluation, and security tradeoffs in enterprise environments
Experience applying AI in regulated or high-availability contexts is a strong plus
Personal Attributes
High technical credibility with architects, engineers, and client stakeholders
Strong executive communication and consulting presence
Structured thinker who can move from ambiguity to actionable architecture
Commercially aware and grounded in implementation realities
Calm, collaborative, and effective in complex stakeholder environments
Nice to Have
Telecom offer management / catalog specialization
Adobe ecosystem familiarity (including Adobe Experience Platform-style environments)
MarTech / digital experience integration exposure for personalization and journey optimization
