Duties and Responsibilities Perform accurate, timely full-cycle bookkeeping (A/P, A/R, GL, bank and credit card eeds) in QuickBooks Online or Xero for a portfolio of Canadian small business clients.
Prepare monthly and quarterly close packages,



including reconciliations, accruals, and management reporting.
Prepare year-end working papers, draft financial statements, and adjusting journal entries for partner review.
Prepare Canadian corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns, plus GST/HST filings, for partner review and final sign-off.
Respond to routine correspondence with tax authority and prepare supporting documentation for the partners' review.
Help build and mentor the offshore team as it grows; lead weekly team huddles and contribute to onboarding new staff.
Communicate clearly with the partners in a fully remote, asynchronous environment using Zoom, Microsoft Suite and Loom.
Identify opportunities to automate and improve our workflows using tools like Dext, HubDoc, Zapier, Claude Cowork and help shape the firm's evolving tech stack.
