This nursing position reports to the Clinical Manager of Geriatrics and plays a vital role in assessing and addressing the health needs of geriatric patients in the Emergency Department. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care and resource connection for the elderly population, emphasizing safety and timely discharges.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments for elderly patients
• Act as a resource for ED staff on geriatric care




• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care
• Promote best practices in elder care nursing
• Build community connections to prevent unnecessary ED visits

Requirements:
• Nursing Baccalaureate required, Master's preferred
• Valid registration with College of Nurses of Ontario
• Five years of experience in geriatrics or emergency services
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Gerontological Nursing Certificate is a must-complete
