The Assistant Store Manager provides support to the Store Manager in overseeing the daily retail store operations, and in the absence of the Store Manager, acts as the Manager on Duty (MOD).

The Assistant Store Manager makes sure that company rules and regulations are explained, understood and followed by all team members, that inventory counts are done in a prompt and precise manner in order to have proper resupply of goods, and ensures that established merchandising practices are followed. The Assistant Store Manager participates in recruitment and training activities of new employees.

Responsibilities

- Support the Store Manager in overseeing all daily retail store operations
- Act as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager's absence
- Communicate and enforce company rules and regulations to all team members
- Oversee accurate and timely inventory counts to ensure proper resupply of goods
- Ensure established merchandising practices are followed throughout the store
- Participate in recruitment and training of current employees




- Organize time and manage priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in the retail industry
- Experience in team management
- Ability to efficiently organize time and manage priorities
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Availability to work 40–50 hours weekly, including days, evenings, and weekends
- Comfortable with ladders, up and down movements, and heavy lifting
- Flexibility to travel within the assigned region
- Legally authorized to work in Canada

Compensation

From $19.30 to $20.30 per hour. Work schedule to be determined based on store operational needs.

Minimum two years of experience in the retail industry; experience in team management; strong organizational and communication skills; comfortable with physical demands including ladders and heavy lifting; legally authorized to work in Canada.
