Zaden Technologies is hiring a DevSecOps Engineer to containerize legacy mission applications and build the secure delivery pipeline that moves them into a government on-prem virtualized cloud environment. Automation is the point of this role: automated builds, automated tests, and automated security evidence, so the team spends its time on mission features instead of chasing bugs. This is a full-time, on-site position in Aurora, CO, with an anticipated start of April 2027.
Role Responsibilities:
Containerize legacy applications and stand up hardened container baselines and registries
Build and operate CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI or similar) with automated test, scan, and artifact-generation gates
Deploy and troubleshoot workloads in on-prem virtualized environments (vSphere-class private cloud, Kubernetes)
Generate pipeline security evidence (SBOMs, scan outputs) in partnership with the cybersecurity engineer
Identify repeatable manual steps and automate them
Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance, or current TS/SCI eligibility, and U.S. citizenship
5+ years of DevOps/DevSecOps experience on software programs, including containerization of existing (not greenfield) applications
Hands-on experience with Docker/OCI containers, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline construction
Linux administration and scripting (Python or Bash)
Experience deploying to on-prem or air-gapped environments, not just commercial cloud
Preferred Qualifications:
DoD software factory experience and continuous-ATO exposure
VMware/vSphere administration and infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, Ansible)
DoD 8140/8570 baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE)
What we offer:
Robust startup environment with a variety of projects to work on
Growth paths and endless opportunities to learn and develop
Paid holidays and adaptable paid time off
Employer contributions toward 401k
50% coverage of health insurance for employees and their dependents
